Bishop’s Cottage

The first serving document relating to Bishop’s Cottage is a lease between Sir Hugh Cholmley and Gawyen White dated the 18th of February 1639, for an annual rent of 5d old pennies (two and a half pence in today’s money).

This delightful period cottage is situated in Black Horse Yard in the old cobbled part of Church Street within easy reach of all amenities, shops, antiques, art galleries, restaurants, beaches and of course Whitby Abbey.

Parking is available in the Council car park approximately 200 metres from the cottage in Church Street.

The cottage consists of ground floor with kitchen and living room with Free Sat TV. First floor bathroom, single bedroom and double bedroom.

The cottage operates a no smoking policy. Electric gas, water, bed linen, towels etc are all included. Iron and ironing board are available.

Please feel free to occupy the cottage anytime after 2pm on your arrival day. Please vacate by 10am on the morning of departure – thank you.

Well behaved dogs welcome. Prices start from only £90 per night. Minimum of 2 nights out of season and 3 nights in season.


The Marina Side

Based on one floor this Whitby apartment offers modern accommodation for family groups wanting to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday, but with easy access to the stunning surrounding countryside of the North York Moors National Park.

This one bedroomed ground floor apartment with ensuite, sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, with a sofa bed in the living room.

The large kitchen is equipped with all the mod cons, including a washer/dryer and coffee machine.

Well behaved dogs welcome. Prices start from only £90 per night. Minimum of 2 nights out of season and 3 nights in season.

Marina House

On Church Street in the historic old east side of Whitby sits Marina House, which is in the prime position for you to enjoy views over the town. You can watch boats on their way out to sea as well as the heritage steam train as it makes its journey to the station.

The layout out of the property ensures that you can enjoy the views from most of the rooms, whether you are having a meal at the dining table, unwinding on the sofas in the living room or waking up after a deep peaceful night’s sleep.

Stepping inside, the property is bright, welcoming and beautifully presented. The ground floor has a well-equipped open plan kitchen/dining area, making this the perfect place to entertain friends and family.

All of the furnishings have been chosen for their aesthetics and comfort, with a modern, fresh decor flowing throughout. Also on the ground floor you have a separate living room, with two click clack double sofa beds, which can be used for up to two additional guests on request. Upstairs on the first floor you have two bedrooms, the master double bedroom with a king size bed as well as a twin bed room, both with harbour views.
